NewsPlus started as a traditional newsagents shop in Park Street, Bristol, but in 1997 we decided to concentrate on delivering to businesses. We started in BS1, BS2 and BS8, but as some of our customers moved we were happy to continue supplying them in their new premises, and now we cover most of Bristol from Brislington in the east to Aztec West in the west.
We soon broadened our range to include milk and dairy products supplied by Cotteswold Dairy in Gloucestershire, and this is now a sizeable minority of our turnover.
In 2012 we moved from a small lock-up in King Square to a larger depot in Princess Row, which is a few hundred yards from the BRI and the Bus Station. Because of our central location and being one of the first newsagents to receive their supplies every day, we are able to get our rounds finished so businesses have received their deliveries by the time they arrive at work. In the last few years we have seen a large increase in the number of private customers we supply as traditional newsagents have stopped their delivery service.
